The short version

This site is run by GeoMan ANZ. It does not track you. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. If you sign up for the weekly email, your email address is used only to send you that email.

The weekly email

• What is collected: your email address, and only if you type it into the signup form yourself.
• What it is used for: sending Ground news, explained, the weekly GeoMan ANZ email. Nothing else. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
• Where it is stored: on the server that runs this website, added to a self-hosted list. When a dedicated sending service is chosen, the list moves there and this page is updated to name it.
• How to leave: reply to any issue or write to the address below and the address is removed from the list the same day. A one-click unsubscribe link is added when the dedicated sending service is chosen.
• What is logged with a signup: the time, and a one-way scrambled form of the IP address, kept only to rate-limit the form. Nothing else.

Hosting

The site is served through a content delivery network for speed and security. Like any web server, it may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for a short time to keep the site running and secure.
